Resin rosin
The rosin obtained by collecting and processing rosin in the form of harvesting is called resin rosin. Its characteristic is that it can continuously harvest pine trees, which is conducive to the full utilization of resources. China has abundant rosin resources and is the country with the largest production of rosin. The production of rosin will continue to exceed 350000 tons for a considerable period of time. Therefore, it is estimated that the world's annual production of resin rosin will still remain at 65-70000 tons in the next 20-30 years.
Wood rosin
It is the rosin extracted by chopping pine roots or trunks, soaking resin in a solvent, and processing. Mainly produced in the United States, the raw materials rely on the primitive pine forests in the southeastern part of the country. Due to the reduction of forest resources, there is a shortage of wood rosin raw materials, and the production has decreased from 316000 tons in 1950 to 20000 tons. The former Soviet Union also produced Pinus massoniana, but due to a decrease in resources, production also sharply declined. It is estimated that the world's current production of wood rosin accounts for less than 5% of the total rosin production.
Floating oil rosin
From the wood pulp and paper industry, the black liquor recovered from sulfate pulping is processed and its performance was originally inferior to rosin. However, due to continuous improvement in quality, its performance is now similar to rosin. Due to the decrease in the proportion of pine wood used in papermaking, the yield of rosin obtained from floating oil distillation was reduced (from 27% to 21%). So in recent years, although the distillation capacity of crude floating oil has increased, the production of floating oil rosin has remained relatively stable, accounting for about 30% -35% of the total rosin.
